Hopelessness
 

I'm sure that many are wondering what is wrong with the girl in the photo above. She is not displaying physical sickness or injury, but a sickness of the soul. HOPELESSNESS.

Recent college grads in China, instead of posting celebratory photos on social media, are posting photos like these, expressing their lack of hope at finding a job, even with a degree, or if they do they must join the rat race of working 12 hour days, 6 days a week to try to make it in their world. Here are more examples of the photos from their posts:
A couple of today's articles share about similar movements with China's young people. One is called "Lying flat." This is where young people do little to nothing to succeed in their jobs and life. Also, some are quitting their "rat race" jobs and moving back to their parents' home just to recoup for months or longer. They call themselves "full-time children."

Obviously we need to pray for China's young people. This type of outlook on life, will never produce healthy results for themselves or society as a whole. 

Also, our third article points out that the Chinese government is still funding programs in U.S. public schools that can influence our kids and teachers towards socialism, especially when paired with the Leftist indoctrination that many schools and teachers are already cramming down our children's throats. It can also place our schools, teachers, and students in potentially compromising situations, when they are funded by the nation that our nation is most guarded regarding national security.

Lying Flat

“Lying Flat,” or tangping, is an online meme that arose in April 2021 as an informal social movement in China urging young workers and professionals, including the middle-class Chinese who are to be the engine of Xi Jinping’s domestic boom, to reject social pressure to achieve success in the workplace or fulfillment through consumerism. The term has met with staunch resistance since its inception from the Chinese leadership, which regards its lay-down attitude as a threat to the push for economic development.

PRAYER
1. Pray over the young people faced with hopeless situations, like those in China. Also, our own youth in the U.S. face so much confusion and fear in life. Their identity is being stolen by the enemy. We, as the Church, need to rise up and speak up on their behalf in the spirit realm. We take authority as parents, grandparents, and those that know how to intercede on their behalf.


 
2. Pray for our Destiny Builders Pastor Training in Cambodia. Our team is preparing for the August Rural Pastor Training which will take place in a couple of weeks. Pray over the team and all those that will participate, that the Lord will be glorified and the pastors will be built up in the Word and power of the Holy Spirit.

3. Pray for us as we continue to pray over our government leaders on a local and national level. We seek wisdom and direction on how to best serve them.
4.  Pray for our team members serving in China & Cambodia. They need us to continually lift them up as the Holy Spirit leads. We may not know their specific challenge on any given day, but ask Holy Spirit to bring them to your remembrance when they need you to stand with them in the power of the Name of Jesus. Our God is faithful and delights when we are willing vessels for His glory.
